The Dicke, Billig, & Czaja Diversity & Inclusion Scholarship Program awards a $2,500 scholarship each academic year to a law student who identifies as being an underrepresented minority in the legal profession and who intends to practice patent law.
An eligible applicant must have an undergraduate or higher degree in computer science, chemistry, engineering, life sciences, or physics, and must be accepted to an ABA-accredited law school in the Twin Cities for academic year 2024. An applicant must have a strong academic record, must intend to practice intellectual property law in the Twin Cities upon graduation from law school, and must not have received a diversity scholarship from any other law firm. An eligible applicant must also be available to accept a position as a part-time law clerk during the academic year.
The scholarship funds will be available with proof of attendance during the first semester or quarter of the 2024 academic year.

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee members will review all applications followed by a telephone call and virtual interview with selected applicants. We will determine the scholarship winner in November for the 2024 academic year.
